Brands that stand still can often move backward.
Set the challenge of injecting a new lease of life into the Taste Guernsey brand, which reflected the ambitious visions of a new committee, meant simply designing a new logo wasn’t going to cut it. A big idea was needed to engage the hospitality industry, island community and island visitors and to celebrate the bounty of local produce the island has on offer.
This came in the form of a big communications idea - Eat Drink & Be Local. A positive call to action for locals and visitors alike - a 'food & drink club’ open to everyone.
From the tomato producers to the beautiful Guernsey breed, this new branding had to pay homage to the old and new, so our creative team set to work researching and coming up with innovative ways to promote the brand. We’re excited to see it start to gain momentum.
New street food markets have been planned throughout the year, focusing on caught, produced, reared and grown themes. These will provide an opportunity not only for locals to get involved, but a chance for visitors to experience first hand the pride and enjoyment islanders' take out of the local hospitality and F&B industry.
So, we invite you all to join us as we Eat, Drink & Be Local.
