THE YEAR OF THE SOCK
We’ve been busy because our clients are very busy.
We’re delighted to have three new names in our client portfolio.
Mohair & More have been in the wool and textile business for six generations originally selling socks, but diversifying to luxury cashmere and a host of knitwear and home furnishings.
In contrast, Dorey Financial Modelling is a new kid on the block. Introducing their highly complex risk management solutions to market was achieved innovatively with ultra violet printing on a captivating DM piece. Luminaries.
Mindful is a perfect fit for our hectic year. And as they were dealing with our life stresses, we produced a new look and logo as well as a website.
Aurigny, the world’s best short-haul airline according to Which? readers launched their new jet service to London Gatwick and a new route to the heart of the capital – London City (we used a camera drone for the first time). We’ve worked hard to expand the airline’s presence in the UK with increased digital marketing activity and brokered a media partnership with the Daily Telegraph.
Our kid’s painting campaign that helped launch the Embraer jet was a huge hit with islanders. Many thousands turned to social media to participate in the voting process. The deserved winner took their entire class and teachers on an exciting day out in London – on the jet.
Alliance made great strides in bringing the nation’s biggest name in groceries to the islands. Tesco’s fantastic range helped Alliance generate record sales figures. We also supported the November opening of a new ‘Alliance with Tesco’ store in Jersey using radio, press and instore promotions.
It’s been an exciting year at Jersey Electricity plc with the much-awaited Normandie 3 cable being laid subsea and subterrain. We have been asked to produce several key display pieces presenting a record of the multimillion-pound project to islanders.
The threat of the introduction of GST has been a major issue for GIBA, CGI and the Chamber of Commerce in 2014. We hosted a successful breakfast presentation to States members.
Alderney goes from strength to strength as world leader in the eGambling industry. LRD continues to assist with it’s global awareness programme through advertising, direct marketing, and the publishing of their efocused magazine and its exhibition stand design and installation.
We’ll be filling our glasses with Guernsey’s national beer - Breda - again this Christmas. After the classic Bredaland posters, we’ve been using social media wisely. Breda TVs Powerboat Challenge video was scripted and produced entirely by the LRD creative team. Free beer is still a wonderful inducement even under such impossible conditions. Absolutely worth a view.
